The December long weekend 2026 in Figueres: comedy, the Mitja race and the Dalí Museum
Spain's December long weekend in 2026 (Saturday 5 to Tuesday 8) brings two events to Figueres: the Humor Figueres comedy festival, 4-7 December, and the 10th Mitja de Figueres half marathon on Sunday 6. Humor Figueres: 4-7 December
The 19th edition of the Figueres comedy festival moves this year to the December long weekend, with shows at the Casino Menestral, Sala La Cate and El Jardí. The programme and tickets are published on the festival website and the town council's agenda; book early if you come as a group. Most shows are in Catalan or Spanish.
The Mitja de Figueres: Sunday 6 December
The 10th Mitja de Figueres has two distances, 21 km and 10 km, starting at 10:30 at the Torre Galatea, next to the Dalí Museum, and finishing in Plaça Catalunya; the children's races start at 9:30. Bibs are collected on Saturday 5 at the town hall and on Sunday in Plaça Catalunya. From Ca La Fustereta, the start is about a 5-minute walk.
The Dalí Museum and Christmas on La Rambla
The Dalí Theatre-Museum opens Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30-18:00, and exceptionally on Monday 7 December (hours and tickets in our Dalí Museum guide). The Christmas lights and the Christmas market on La Rambla usually start at the end of November (in 2025, 28 November to 24 December; the 2026 dates are not published yet).
