How to get to Figueres by train, car and plane
Figueres is easy to reach: by high-speed train to Figueres-Vilafant station (about 55 minutes from Barcelona), by regional train to the station in the centre, by car on the AP-7, or from the airports of Girona, Barcelona and Perpignan. Here is each option and how to get into town.
High-speed train: Figueres-Vilafant station
AVE trains and the high-speed trains between Spain and France stop at Figueres-Vilafant, on the edge of town, about 1.5 km from the centre. It takes about 55 minutes from Barcelona-Sants and about 15 from Girona, and there are direct trains from France. From the station it is a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride to the centre.
Regional train: Figueres station (town centre)
Regional trains on the Portbou line (Rodalies de Catalunya) arrive at Figueres station, right in the centre, about a 10-minute walk from the Dalí Museum. From Barcelona they take around 2 hours: slower than the AVE, but cheaper and they drop you in town.
By bus
Buses from Barcelona, Girona and other towns in the Empordà arrive at the bus station next to the town-centre train station. Check the company's timetable before you travel.
By car: AP-7 and N-II

The nearest airport is Girona-Costa Brava, about 45 minutes by car. Barcelona-El Prat is around 1 hour 40 minutes away, and Perpignan, in France, about 50 minutes.
