Parking in Figueres: car parks near the Dalí Museum and the blue zone

The easiest places to park near the Dalí Theatre-Museum are the Saba El Garrigal car park on Carrer Canigó, right next to the museum, and the Telpark Passeig Nou car park, about 250 metres away. If you would rather not pay, Figueres has fourteen free car parks, including one at Sant Ferran Castle, while on-street blue-zone parking is limited to 2 hours.
Updated on 23/10/2026
Many visitors come for the day by car, often on a road trip along the Costa Brava or across the border from France, and the museum sits in a largely pedestrianised old town. The details below come from Visit Figueres, FISERSA (the council-owned company that runs on-street parking) and the car park operators; blue-zone prices are from the 2026 bylaw.
Car parks near the Dalí Museum in Figueres
The museum is on Plaça Gala i Salvador Dalí, in the heart of the historic centre, and many of the surrounding streets are pedestrian-only. The simplest plan is to leave the car in a multi-storey or underground car park and walk the last stretch. These are the four best-placed pay car parks:
| Car park | Address | Spaces | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saba El Garrigal | Carrer Canigó, s/n | 175 | Open 24 h · max. height 2.05 m · next to the museum |
| Telpark Passeig Nou Centre | Passeig Nou, 1B | 275 | Open 24 h · max. height 2.10 m · first hour €2.90 · max. €30/day |
| Saba El Firal | Av. Salvador Dalí i Domènech, 107 | 116 | Max. height 1.90 m |
| Saba Plaça Catalunya | Carrer de la Rutlla, 7 | 371 | Open 24 h · max. height 2.0 m · lift |
El Garrigal is the go-to Dalí Museum car park: Saba describes it as right next door, it is open 24 hours and you get in by number-plate recognition or QR code. Passeig Nou is an underground car park on two levels with disabled bays, motorbike spaces and EV charging; Telpark puts it about 250 metres from the museum and 300 metres from the town hall.
Driving a campervan, a van or a car with a roof box? Mind the height limit at El Firal: 1.90 m. Plaça Catalunya is the largest car park, next to the shopping streets and a little further from the museum than El Garrigal or Passeig Nou.
Free parking in Figueres
Visit Figueres, the town's official tourism office, lists fourteen free car parks. For sightseeing, these are the most useful:
- Sant Ferran Castle (Pujada del Castell, s/n · 70 spaces): ideal if you are seeing the castle and the museum on the same day. It sits at the top of Pujada del Castell, the street that starts by the Torre Galatea, so the walk to the museum is downhill all the way.
- Parc de les Aigües (Carrer Rector Arnau, 22 · 255 spaces).
- Fossos (Carrer Nord, 6 · 160 spaces): east of the old town.
- Zona Esportiva (Av. Salvador Dalí i Domènech, 110 · 60 spaces): on the same avenue as El Firal.
- Clos de Fires 1 and 2 (Carrer d'Itàlia, 6, and Carrer de França · 513 and 165 spaces): the biggest on the list, but outside the historic centre, so check the location before you go.
The car park on Avinguda de Vilallonga, 15 (325 spaces) is a red zone, intended as a park-and-walk option. Under the 2026 bylaw, class A red bays cost €1 a day with the first 2 hours free, while class B red bays are free up to the maximum time shown on the sign.
Tip: between the museum itself, a stroll round the centre and a coffee on La Rambla, it is very easy to overrun the 2-hour blue-zone limit. For a museum visit, a car park or one of the free car parks is the safer bet.
Blue-zone parking in Figueres: hours and prices
On-street pay parking is run by FISERSA and comes in three colours:
- Blue zone (481 spaces): short-stay bays, mostly around Plaça Catalunya and Carrer de Sant Antoni. You pay Monday to Saturday (working days), 10:00–13:00 and 16:00–20:00, except public holidays.
- Green zone (814 spaces): residents have priority, Monday to Saturday (working days) 9:00–21:00. Visitors can park there but pay blue-zone rates.
- Orange zone: six bays on Pujada del Castell, by the Torre Galatea, for very short stops (20 minutes maximum, €0.20). Handy for dropping someone off at the museum door.
| Time in the blue zone | Price |
|---|---|
| 20 minutes | €0.20 |
| 45 minutes | €0.90 |
| 1 hour | €1.20 |
| 2 hours (maximum) | €2.55 |
The first 15 minutes are free once a day per vehicle, in the blue or green zone, if you enter your number plate at the pay-and-display machine. The minimum charge covers 20 minutes and you cannot stay more than 2 hours in the same bay. Pay at the machine or with the EasyPark app, which FISERSA points to on its website. Outside paid hours (Sundays, public holidays and, in the blue zone, 13:00–16:00) you do not need a ticket.
Got a blue-zone parking ticket? How to cancel it
If you forgot to pay or went over 2 hours, you can cancel the fine by paying €20 within 24 hours. If you only overstayed the time on your ticket, it is €10. You can do this at any parking machine or online at anul.fisersa.cat; after 24 hours the machines no longer allow it.
